General description

For operation of the applications of the financial sector in national and/or European relation, Hungaro DigiTel recommends its transaction based, broadband and SCPC systems. Since foundation of our company, we have been paying special attention to the financial sector and to institutions that want to operate networks with several terminal points for low cost and with high reliability.

Traditional satellite services for the financial sector:

  • Data communication for ATMs installed in bank branches and outside locations.
  • Services for POS groups.
  • Broadband access for bank branches.
  • Temporary VSAT connections (fairs, exhibitions, conferences, etc.).
  • International connections.
  • Content provision in bank branches and ATMs (multicast service: data-voice-video).
  • Backup service for bank branches.

Our recommendations

  • With satellite data transmission we can serve the ATM and POS networks of financial institutions for a competitive price in comparison to terrestrial services, with the remarkable advantage, that in case of using the VSAT service, no investment is required. This means that no router is needed, because the VSAT indoor unit functions as a router, and the same satellite indoor unit can serve both the traditional transaction based and the IP based communication.

  • We pay special attention to serving large POS groups. Naturally, the advantages mentioned above are present also in this service area. As a background partner of OTP Bank, Hungaro DigiTel is one of the largest POS group service provider in Hungary at present, e.g.: Tesco, Auchan, OBI, Praktiker, Baumax, etc.

  • Services for back-office applications of multi-site networks (e.g.: assets registry systems, etc.), simultaneously with transaction based services, with a single equipment and without investment and traffic fees.

  • The technical system of the proposed services is capable also for value added services like multicast for data, voice and video. We can transmit the required content simultaneously to each terminal point, whether on-line or off-line. With this value added service, we offer a unique possibility to our existing and prospective clients, that could be hardly implemented using terrestrial lines.
