Satellite telephone (BGAN)

General description

Since March 2008, as a partner of the German ESL GmBH, Hungaro DigiTel Ltd. is the authorized distributor of BGAN (Broadband Global Area Network) broadband satellite devices of the Danish Thrane&Thrane company, which is a globally market leading manufacturer.

By using the service, simultaneous mobile phone and broadband data connection can be established practically anywhere in the World, within minutes. The developers preferred simplicity and ease of use. Launch and use of the service do not require special technical knowledge.

Main features of the satellite phone service:

• easy transport, small size devices applicable anywhere in the World,
• compatibility with terrestrial telecommunications networks,
• IP and line switched network compatibility,
• granted bandwidth option (streaming),
• secure communication (BGAN supports all major VPN and encryption solutions),
• enhanced protection against environmental effects (dust, drip and shock proof).

With the devices, Hungaro DigiTel Ltd. sells also subscriptions required for using the BGAN service. Just like with traditional mobile phones, post-paid and pre-paid SIM cards can also be used.
