HUNGARO DIGITEL WINS TV2 TENDER
THE COMPANY WILL PROVIDE SATELLITE BROADCASTING IN HUNGARY AND BEYOND ITS BORDERS FOR TV2 GROUP FROM 2022
Hungaro DigiTel Ltd. (HDT), a member of the 4iG Group, has won the TV2 Group’s uplink tender. HDT and its global satellite service partner Intelsat will provide digital signal transmission and broadcasting to reception points in Hungary and beyond its borders. Thanks to this agreement, Hungaro DigiTel further strengthens its market leader position in Hungary and the Central and Eastern European region.
Hungaro DigiTel Ltd., Europe’s leading satellite company, has won the uplink tender of TV2 Group, Hungary’s media service provider with the largest television portfolio. HDT will provide satellite signal transmission services to the media group from 2022. Under the terms of the agreement, HDT and its subcontractor Intelsat, one of the world’s largest integrated satellite and terrestrial telecommunications providers, will transmit the signals of 14 channels of the TV2 Group in Hungary and the surrounding countries. HDT will provide terrestrial digital signal transmission, and Intelsat will provide satellite signal transmission and coverage.

Intelsat is one of the world’s most trusted satellite telecommunications operators, and thanks to its partnership with HDT, it now brings 200 Hungarian-language TV channels to nearly 2 million viewers.
